Roof Cleaning
Why is it important?
This surface of our homes bears the ultimate brunt of our Kiwi weather and can quickly build up unsightly and hazardous organic matter such as moss, mould, mildew and algae. Maintaining and protecting your roof with our treatment service is recommended annually. Needless to say, it is far cheaper and easier to maintain than to repair or replace and can drastically extend the life of your roof.
What’s involved?
We offer two services to clean your roof:

Roof wash - Using a combination of softwash and pressure washing techniques we apply cleaning agents on the surface to break down dirt, grime and organic matter. This is then removed with medium pressure water blasting. It is a much slower process but yields instant results. We take working from heights very seriously and follow stringent healthy and safety procedures. Due to the necessary safety precautions involved with roof cleaning and needing to be on the roof to carry out the clean, it is a more costly option.

Roof treatment - Our most popular roof service which cleans and protects long after we’re gone. This specialised treatment targets organic matter at its core, actively killing spores, lichen and moss. The treatment is naturally re-activated when it rains, washing nasties away and leaving it cleaner each time. Because roof treatments can typically be applied from the safety of ground level, they are a much more affordable and effective option. The roof gradually becomes clean over the course of 6-12months. Please note: If water is collected from the roof for drinking (tank water), downpipes will need to disconnected/ flush caps removed so that chemicals do not enter the tank.
